Frequently Asked Questions

Parents wishing to apply to The High School of Glasgow should create a new Parent Account via the 'Start a new application' link on the right-hand menu or the 'Create a Parent Account' button on the Home Page.

Your Parent Account will allow you to communicate with our Admissions Team, submit an application for your child/children and check back to track the status of your application.

Can I visit the School?
Yes, we are once again able to offer physical tours of the School to prospective pupils and their families.

Physically distanced tours are now available by appointment. Please contact the Admissions Team on 0141 954 9628 or admissions@hsog.co.uk

When can my child join the High School of Glasgow?
We welcome applications all year round.

Our primary entrance points are Kindergarten (from age 3), Junior (Primary) 1, Transitus (Primary 7) and Secondary 1, with entrance tests typically taking place in January.

How do I create a new online account to submit an application form?
Go to https://hsog.hub-apply.com/application/parent_register and complete the form, keeping note of the email address and password that you used.

How do I log in to my account?
Go to https://hsog.hub-apply.com/application/login and enter the email address and password with which you registered your account.

What if I forget my password?
Use the forgotten password feature https://hsog.hub-apply.com/application/forgot.

Can I take my time to complete the application form?
Yes, you can save each section and come back to it at a later date. Please note the page will 'time-out' if inactive for a period of time. Keep saving your application to ensure no data is lost.

Can I edit after submitting my application form?
No. Once you have submitted your application we review the information that you have provided. We may ask you for more information, but you can't edit your application unless the Admissions Team reset it for you.

Can I track my application after submitting it?
Yes, log in to view your application status.

Can I contact someone about my application?
Yes, if you have any questions during the admissions process please get in touch with us via the Communication Inbox that you see once you log in.
